Mabel borrows her sister’s car and knocks a man down. She finds he staged the accident, mistaking her for her sister whose help he needs to save his son, serving a life sentence for murder. Her sister could have saved him, but her marriage and position were at stake. Taut and full of suspense, this popular play was broadcast by the BBC.
