Toe in the Water

A Comedy by Derek Benfield
Directed by June Brogdale

The play explores what happens when Gerald Corby goes to spend a few days in a health farm, presided over by the highly moral Mr Potter, anticipating a period of peace and tranquility. However, his hopes are dashed by the arrival not only of his secretary, who openly expresses her love for him, but also his daughter, Linda, who is intent on a naughty assignation with her boyfriend Rodney, of whom Gerald strongly disapproves. The situation is complicated further when his wife Marion turns up unexpectedly. The resulting misunderstandings and mix-ups caused by saucy deceit and amorous adventures prove more than a headache for the hapless Mr Potter, who strives to keep the moral fabric of the health farm intact!
